BATNA (Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement)

Your fallback plan if the deal doesn't work out.
🔸 Identify your best backup option
🔸 Evaluate if it's realistic and strong
🔸 Know the minimum offer you'll accept
🔸 Use it during the negotiation if needed

ZOPA (Zone of Possible Agreement)

The area where both sides' expectations overlap.
🔸 Know your desired range
🔸 Estimate the other side's range
🔸 Look for overlap
🔸 Communicate clearly
🔸 Try to close the deal

What was interesting 💡

Learning about BATNA and ZOPA made me realize that you need a backup plan and also know when a deal is actually possible. The idea that negotiation isn't about always agreeing but knowing your worth and limits stood out to me. It's more about strategy than just talking.
